About breeze-ups
The Breeze-Up Consignors Association (BUCA) was founded in 2015 as a means of promoting the breeze-up sector. Breeze-up sales are a constant source of quality and progressive horses, with recent highlights ranging from the 2,000 Guineas winner Ruling Court, star sprinter Bradsell, Champion 2yo Native Trail to the brilliant stayer Trueshan.
This year has highlighted the sector to great effect once again, with graduates currently led by the brilliant Group 1 Prix Morny heroine Senorita Bonita and the Group 2 Lowther and Group 3 Albany Stakes winner Libertango.
Sales season
2026
The breeze-up sales circuit starts in Newmarket for the Tattersalls Craven Sale before shifting to Doncaster for the Goffs UK Breeze-Up. Tattersalls also hosts the Guineas Sale in Newmarket in early May.
The Arqana May Sale follows in Deauville ahead of the Tattersalls Ireland Sale at Fairyhouse and the newest sale on the circuit, the Goffs Classic Breeze-Up Sale in Ireland during Irish Derby weekend.
